| Members of co-Lab have been active in the development of wearable tools, interactive environments, academic research and project management for the past years. co-Lab's main interest is the interdisciplinary approach for new developments in this field. In 1998/99 Claudia Guedel launched the European pilot project Fred (Fashion radically enters digitality) at HyperStudio, Basel. In experimental hands-on sessions young fashion and textile designers from six European art institutions developed projects and prototypes on the boarder line of fashion and new technology. The results of this interdisciplinary workshop series where presented in an extensive event at the Migros Museum of Contemporary Art in Zurich, Switzerland.
